Insignia of World War II

 

Insignia of World War II contains over 1,000 of the most important badges worn on uniforms between 1939 and 1945. These include insignia of all the major protagonists in the war: Germany, Japan, the United States, Italy, Great Britain, France, Russia and the British Empire. Each badge is illustrated by means of a full-colour artwork, with accompanying detailed and fascinating text, plus the war record of the particular unit. All the different categories of insignia are included in the book: Cap Badges, Shoulder Sleeve insignia, Rank insignia, Collar Patches, Cuff Bands and Breast insignia. Insignia of World War II contains the badges of the most famous units to have served in the conflict, such as the US Marine Corp, US Rangers, Waffen-SS, British 7th Armoured Division, plus badges of the greatest Royal Navy ships that served in World War II, including Warspite, Ark Royal and Victorious.
