Great Uncle Fred's War An Illustrated Diary 1917-1920
This fascinating account of one man's war was assembled from three sets of loose leaf diaries found in a box of old photographs shortly after the death of their author Fred Mills in 1978. Together they give a unique insight into one man's experience of being enlisted into the Royal Engineers and travelling half way round the world to fight in Egypt and around the canal zone. Along with a collection of unique photographs that accompanied the diaries this riveting account, published privately by the family, gives a unique insight into this relatively unknown theatre of the Great War.
