The Killing of Obergruppenfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich, 27th May, 1942
Published on the 50th anniversary of the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia, this piece of historical analysis describes the events surrounding the assassination in 1942 by a Czech team of partisans of Hitler's henchman, Reinhard Heydrich. The partisans were betrayed to the Gestapo, surrounded where they were hiding in a church in Prague and commited suicide with their last bullets. In retaliation, the Gestapo obliterated the Czech village of Lidice and massacred its inhabitants.
