The Australian Experience of War

 

Australia has participated in nine wars, four of which have produced a body of memorable war literature by Australian writers. This anthology gathers together a selection of the best of that literature - poems, stories and vignettes, extracts from novels and memoirs - sensitively illustarted with contemporary paintings, drawings and photographs covering the Boer War, First World War, Second World War and the Vietnam War.
