Seaforth Highlanders A Fighting Soldier Remembers (1939-45)
A history of the 6th Battalion the Seaforth Highlanders in WWII. The battalion served with the BEF in France 1940, covering the evacuation of Allied troops from Dunkirk, sustaining heavy casualties before managing to return to England themselves. They then served in Madagascar, the invasion of Sicily, and in the Italian campaign. The author also includes an account of the 1st Battalion's actions in Burma.
