Russia’s T-80U Main Battle Tank - Concord
The T-80U family of battle tanks are currently the most modern and sophisticated in Russia’s arsenal. They are the descendents of the older T-80 standard tank which first entered Russian service in 1976. The focus of this book is on the second generation of T-80 tanks, and T-80U and its variants.
Since the end of the Cold War, Russia has been developing lots of new battle tanks. But due to lack of funds, Russia could only field some in their own service, while hoping to export others to generate revenue. Therefore, many T-80 variants appear in prototype only, demonstrating in various arms show. This book cover the main variant T-80, battle tested in Georgia and Chechnya, fighting rebels in the renegade states.
Apart from the T-80U, the variants T-80BV, T-80UK, T-80UE, Snow Leopard, T-80UM-2, T-84, T-84U, Black Eagle, 2S19, BREM-80U are featured accompanied by excellent photos. The ultra secret Black Eagle is the tank of the 21st Century, we have several photos showing it on maneuver.
