This book was first published in Great Britain by William Kimber and Company Ltd in 1963 under the title, "The Destruction of Dresden". A revised and updated edition was published in 1971 by Corgi Books Ltd and a further revised edition was published by Papermac, a division of Macmillan Publishers Ltd., in 1985. The present work has been thoroughly revised and expanded on the basis of new materials discovered since 1963. The classic work on the Allied bombing and destruction of the city of Dresden, Germany.
