Messerschmitt Bf 109: The Operational Record
This is a history of one of the great military aircraft - the Messerschmitt BF-109. It was built in larger numbers than any other type committed to combat by Germany or the Allies and its pilots scored many aerial victories. This book starts with the pre-war prototype development and flight testing and the first combat positions in the Spanish Civil War. It traces the evolution of the different models from the 109B to the 109K and examines the roles that the aircraft played throughout the war and the various battlegrounds over which they flew. The book also contains details about surviving aircraft and first-hand accounts from pilots.
