The Tirpitz : The Drama Of The Lone Queen Of The North
Translated from the German by Frederick Holt, the true, and comprehensive account of the fateful three-year career of the vessel which bore the name of the creator of the first German battle fleet, the Tirpitz - the "Lone Queen of the North". When the 1st edition was published in Germany, the German documentary material seized by the Allies, was not at the author's disposal so that he has had to enlarge the second edition considerably to make full use of the additional material now available. This includes various books published in both Germany and England (then 1963), and above all the memoirs of Grand-Admiral Erich Raeder.
This is the dramatic story of the German Battleship Tirpitz, sister ship to the ill-fated Bismarck, written by an ex-German naval Officer.
Dust cover scuffed at the edges, hard cover very clean, pages clean and tight, age spotting down the edge of pages.
