This divisional history follows one of the prestige divisions of the British Army from just before D-Day through the invasion and on to the battles for Caen. It then recounts the fortunes of the division in its advance in Second army through Belgium, Holland (including the attempted Arnhem relief) and into Germany. It is accompanied with a number of photographs, 5 maps and Orders of Battle from 1 July 1942 to 5 May 1945.
