This US report on the operation is a first class account of what was the first German combined air/sea/land operation of the Second World War.

Operation Weserubung took the Allies by surprise, and the subsequent occupation of Norway caused both Hitler and Churchill to indulge in a number of flights of fancy throughout the war.
