Sd. Kfz. 166 Sturmpanzer Brummbar - Volume 1

The first of two planned volumes, this volume covers the first and second production series Sd. Kfz. 166's, as well as the retrofitted first production series models. In addition to the technical information, there is also a section concerning Strumpanzer-Abteilung 216, which was primarily equipped with the early version of the Brummbär and saw its baptism of fire on the battlefield at Kursk as part of schweres Panzerjäger-Regiment 656.

The second volume will cover the remaining two factory varients as well as brief histories of the other battalions issued the vehicle: Sturmpanzer-Abteilungen 217-219. The same attention to detail will be present there. The second volume will include even more previously unpublished photos, including many from veterans' photo albums.
